Oleg Antonov founded his design bureau in Novosibirsk in 1946, relocated it to Kyiv the following year, and spent the next three decades building it into one of the Soviet Union's most productive aircraft manufacturing enterprises. The An-124 Ruslan, developed under his leadership before his death in 1984, remains among the largest production cargo aircraft ever built. This coin was issued on the centenary of his birth.
