The surrounding legend НАЦІОНАЛЬНА АКАДЕМІЯ ВНУТРІШНІХ СПРАВ arcs around the upper portion of the coin, while the commemorative inscription 100 РОКІВ (100 Years), flanked by decorative foliate elements, occupies the lower arc. The composition is rendered in high relief against a polished field.
