| Obverse description | The obverse presents a dynamic, modernist composition evoking the economic and mathematical disciplines. To the upper right, a stylised globe rendered in a grid of meridians and parallels occupies the field, beneath which the denomination numeral '2' and the legend 'ГРИВНІ' appear in the lower field. The small trident emblem of Ukraine (tryzub) is depicted in a shield at the upper centre of the design. Mathematical and economic symbols — including an integral sign, percentage sign, at-symbol, and other notations — are scattered across the left portion of the field against an abstract geometric background of intersecting diagonal lines. The curved legend 'НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ' runs along the right rim, with the date '2006' positioned centrally to the right.
