| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner border, the crowned shield of West Friesland is centrally displayed, bearing two rampant lions above a couchant lion, the whole surmounted by an elaborate ornamental crown from which the date 1682 emerges to either side. The denomination mark '2 G' flanks the shield at mid-field. A circular Latin legend runs between the beaded border and the square klippe flan, reading continuously around the device. |

| Reverse description | A full-length figure of Minerva, goddess of wisdom, stands in the field wearing classical drapery and a plumed helmet, leaning with her left arm upon a Bible resting atop a column, while her right hand holds an upright spear surmounted by a broad-brimmed hat symbolising liberty. The composition is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with a Latin motto legend encircling the design between the border and the square klippe flan edge. |
