Reverse description The crowned royal coat of arms of Great Britain as used during the reign of George II, quartered and displayed on an ornate shield. The first and fourth quarters bear the three lions passant guardant of England, the second quarter displays the lion rampant of Scotland, the third quarter shows the harp of Ireland, and an inescutcheon bears the arms of Hanover surmounted by the electoral bonnet. The shield is flanked by decorative scrollwork and topped by the royal crown. The abbreviated legend M·B·F·ET·H·REX·F·D·B·ET·L·D·S·R·I·A·T·ET·E· encircles the design, with the date 17 33 divided at the base.
