| 背面描述 | The large numeral '2' dominates the upper centre of the field, with the denomination GROSZE inscribed below in bold capital letters. To the left, a stylised sprig of grain or foliage is depicted, accompanied at the base by a crossed implement motif, likely representing agricultural labour. The trial designation PROBA is inscribed vertically along the upper right periphery, identifying this piece as a pattern or test strike. The overall composition is clean and uncluttered, consistent with the utilitarian design aesthetic of mid-twentieth century Polish coinage. |

In 1949, Polish monetary authorities were finalizing the coinage designs introduced after the communist consolidation of power, and multiple compositional trials were struck before aluminum was selected for the circulating 2 Grosze. This nickel trial was rejected — aluminum was cheaper, lighter, and politically aligned with the Soviet-influenced preference for base-metal subsidiary coinage across the Eastern Bloc. Surviving examples exist in tiny numbers, almost certainly distributed among state archives and select collections rather than ever approaching general circulation.
