Obverse description Divided shield bearing three horizontal bars on the dexter side and seven fleurs-de-lis arranged in the sinister field. A crown surmounts the shield. The heraldic composition is rendered in a bold, simplified style characteristic of medieval hammered coinage. A circular legend in uncial Latin script surrounds the central device within the coin's field.

Reverse description Frontal auroch head, the traditional symbol of Moldavia, displayed in high relief at the center of the field. A five-pointed star is positioned between the horns, with a crescent to the sinister and a rosette to the dexter of the head. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with an uncial Latin legend encircling the entire composition in the outer field. A cross patée serves as a punctuation mark within the legend.
