Obverse description Two heraldic shields side by side — those of Jülich and Guelders — surmounted by a single tournament helmet adorned with a peacock plume rising between them. Above the plume, a circle contains a double-tailed rampant lion passant. The design is executed in the bold, angular style characteristic of late medieval Low Countries hammered coinage. A circular legend in uncial Latin runs along the periphery, identifying the issuer.
