| 正面描述 | Central field bears two confronted griffons passant, their bodies intertwined beneath a shared crown surmounting the composition, rendered in bold relief characteristic of late medieval Brabantine hammered coinage. The griffons, displayed with spread wings and leonine hindquarters, face one another in a heraldic arrangement symbolic of the dual authority of Maximilian I and Philip the Handsome. The entire central device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A circular Latin legend in Gothic lettering runs along the outer margin, separated from the field by the beaded border, with annelet punctuation marks dividing the inscription. The die work is vigorous and typical of the Antwerp or Mechelen workshop tradition of the 1480s. |
