The upper-left and lower-right quarters bear a rampant lion, while the upper-right and lower-left quarters display additional armorial charges; at the center of the cross is a lozenge-shaped escutcheon bearing the lozengy arms of Bavaria. The surrounding legend in Gothic uncial characters proclaims the coin as the new money of Liege. |
