| Obverse description | Central oval vignette of the Citadelle Laferrière (Citadelle Henri Christophe), the massive hilltop fortress in northern Haiti, set within an elaborate guilloche border. The denomination numeral '2' appears in large ornate script at left and right, with the issuer title 'BANQUE NATIONALE DE LA REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI' across the top and 'DEUX GOURDES' on a banner below the vignette.
