Obverse description Full-length crowned figure of King Christian IV standing facing, clad in elaborate armour with ruffled collar, holding a sceptre in his right hand and an orb in his left. The royal numeral IIII appears at the base of the figure. The effigy is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery reading CHRISTIANVS IIII D G DANI, accompanied by the date 1608 to the left. The entire design is framed by an outer beaded border.
