Obverse description Crowned and draped bust of Christian III facing right, rendered in the Renaissance portrait style typical of mid-16th century Danish coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with the royal crown prominently displayed above the head. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, identifying the king and his titles. The die work reflects the hammered technique characteristic of the period.
