Reverse description A large imperial orb, surmounted by a cross and encircled by a crown, occupies the centre of the field, enclosed within a wreath formed by two curved laurel or olive branches adorned with small quatrefoil rosettes at intervals. The circumferential Latin legend DOMINE CONSERVA NOS IN PACE — 'Lord, preserve us in peace' — surrounds the entire design, separated from it by a dentilated inner border mirroring that of the obverse.
