| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Frederik VI facing left, rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair curling naturally above and behind the ear. The truncation of the neck is clean and unadorned, bearing the engraver's initials I.C. The encircling legend reads FREDERICUS VI REX DANIÆ, separated from the effigy by a plain field. The portrait is executed in the Neoclassical style characteristic of early nineteenth-century Danish coinage, with strong facial modeling and naturalistic detailing. |
