Reverse description Central field features the inscription L'AN / X in two lines within a laurel wreath tied at the base, referencing the Republican calendar year corresponding to 1801-1802. The wreath is composed of symmetrical olive or laurel branches elegantly arranged, with a small floral ornament at the apex. The surrounding legend, reading *PROCÉDÉ DE GENGEMBRE MÉCN DES MONNS, references the mechanical minting process developed by engineer Gengembre for the French Mints. The reverse demonstrates the experimental and technical nature of this pattern issue. A beaded border frames the entire design.
