Obverse description A large five-pointed star (the Seal of Solomon) dominates the centre of the field, rendered in bold relief with interlaced geometric lines. A circular Arabic legend arcs across the upper portion of the coin, reading above the star, while the bilingual inscription 'EMPIRE CHERIFIEN' appears in Latin characters along the left and right rims respectively. The word 'MAROC' in Latin script and its Arabic equivalent 'المغرب' are placed at the lower centre, flanking the base of the star. The overall design is characteristic of the Sherifian Empire's coinage under Mohammed V, combining Islamic geometric motifs with French Protectorate-era typography.
