| Obverse description | Printed in black and blue on a pale green underprint, the note is framed by an ornate Art Nouveau-style guilloche border with foliate and geometric motifs at the corners. The heading COMMUNE DE BLANDAIN / BELGIQUE - HAINAUT appears at the top, with the large central legend BON DE MONNAIE enclosed in a decorative panel, flanked on either side by large numeral 2s. The denomination DEUX FRANCS is set in a bold black rectangle at centre, below which appear the guarantee text, the approval date of 17 November 1914, and two manuscript signatures of the Secrétaire and the Bourgmestre. |
