| Obverse description | Green letterpress on cream paper with a repeated text underprint reading VILLE DU HAVRE ET CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE across the entire field. The centre carries the issuing authority title in large capitals above the denomination DEUX FRANCS, with a large red numeral 2 overprinted in the middle. Two circular vignettes flank the central text, the left inscribed with the approval notice of the Administration supérieure and the right stating exchangeability against Banque de France notes, each set within ornate frames supported by decorative column motifs. Two manuscript signatures appear at the foot, attributed respectively to the President of the Chambre de Commerce and the Mayor of Le Havre, with the date 1915 and serial numbers printed along the lower margin. |
