| Obverse description | Green letterpress note with an ornate guilloche border enclosing a central oval underprint in ochre, within which the denomination DEUX FRANCS is printed in large bold letters. The Bordeaux municipal arms — a shield bearing a crescent and three leopards with the motto QUO NON HAC DUCE — appear on a vignette at the lower centre, flanked by the manuscript signatures of the Trésorier and the Président. The series number and serial number are printed at lower left and lower right respectively, with the printer's imprint IMPR. GOUNOUILHOU BORDEAUX at the foot. |
