Obverse description A seated allegorical female figure, representing Commerce and Industry, is depicted in three-quarter view facing left at center, rendered in a classical Art Deco style. She holds a caduceus in her outstretched left hand and rests her right arm on a support, with drapery falling across her lower body. The curved legend COMMERCE to the left and INDUSTRIE to the right arc around the upper field, separated by a beaded border. The engraver's signature DOMARD appears to the lower left of the figure, with INV. to the lower right, flanking the date below on a recessed exergual line.
