Obverse description Left-facing effigy of Marianne wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with a composite wreath incorporating olive leaves, oak, and wheat sprigs, executed in the Art Deco style by engraver Morlon. The legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE arcs along the upper periphery, while the engraver's name MORLON appears at the lower right of the field. The portrait is rendered with fine relief detail characteristic of the interwar French coinage tradition.
