| Obverse description | Brown lithograph note with an elaborate foliate border of laurel branches framing the entire face. The denomination "DEUX FRANCS" appears in bold white lettering on a dark cartouche at centre, with bilingual French and Arabic text above and below; the authorising decree date "27 Avril 1918 / 16 Redjeb 1336" is printed centrally in both languages. Numeral "2" vignettes occupy the four corners, and two manuscript signatures — those of the Trésorier Général de Tunisie at lower left and the Directeur Général des Finances at lower right — appear above an oval anti-counterfeiting warning cartouche at bottom centre. |
