正面描述 Printed in red on rose-tinted paper, the obverse is framed by an ornate typographic border incorporating vignettes of tropical trees, barrels, and colonial arms. A sailing ship vignette occupies the lower left, while the colonial Coat of Arms is centered at the top. The body of the note carries the full letterpress text of the bon de caisse in a formal typeface, with the designer's imprint "SAUNIER FECIT" at the foot.

备注

The Trésor Colonial de la Guadeloupe operated under direct authority of the colonial administration rather than any metropolitan banking institution, which made its emissions legally distinct from mainland French instruments. This 2 Francs note from 1864 predates the Banque de la Guadeloupe's establishment by nearly two decades — the colonial treasury filled that vacuum.

Local printing in Guadeloupe at this period was rudimentary, and the Saunier attribution likely refers to a local craftsman rather than a known Parisian printing house. Notes produced under these conditions are prone to uneven impression and variable paper quality, which is intrinsic to the type rather than indicative of damage or mishandling.
