| Reverse description | Saints Peter and Andrew depicted in a fishing boat on turbulent waters, both nimbed and shown actively fishing with nets, the scene rendered with considerable narrative vitality within a beaded inner circle. The two apostles face one another across the vessel, recalling their shared vocation as fishermen before their calling by Christ. The encircling legend in Latin invokes Saint Peter and Roma Alma. The composition is a distinctive and celebrated type unique to the coinage of Julius II. |
