Obverse description The Holy Crown of Saint Stephen (Corona Sacra), the historic coronation crown of the Hungarian monarchs, is depicted centrally in fine detail, showing its characteristic asymmetric cross finial, arched bands adorned with pearls and enamel plaques, and pendant chains with globular terminals suspended from the base. The crown is rendered with considerable artistry, conveying its ornate Byzantine craftsmanship. The circular Latin legend MAGYAR KIRÁLYSÁG (Kingdom of Hungary) curves around the lower portion of the field, flanked by two raised dots, with the date of issue inscribed below the crown. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner border and a milled outer rim.
