Obverse description Central field bearing the Seal of Solomon (hexagram), formed by two interlocking triangles rendered in low relief, with a raised central pellet at the intersection point. The design is characteristic of Moroccan hammered and cast coinage of the Alaoui dynasty, executed in a bold, stylized manner typical of the period. The flan is irregular and slightly flan-cracked, consistent with cast production methods of the Hawz mint.

Reverse description Arabic inscription in two registers across the field, recording the mint name Hawz in the upper portion and the AH date 1280 in the lower portion, separated by a horizontal line. The lettering is characteristic of the informal, hand-engraved style associated with provincial Moroccan cast bronze coinage of the mid-nineteenth century. The flan edge is irregular, reflecting the cast manufacture of this issue.
