| Obverse description | Central field bearing the Seal of Solomon (hexagram), formed by two interlocking triangles rendered in low relief, with a raised central pellet at the intersection point. The design is characteristic of Moroccan hammered and cast coinage of the Alaoui dynasty, executed in a bold, stylized manner typical of the period. The flan is irregular and slightly flan-cracked, consistent with cast production methods of the Hawz mint. |

| Reverse description | Arabic inscription in two registers across the field, recording the mint name Hawz in the upper portion and the AH date 1280 in the lower portion, separated by a horizontal line. The lettering is characteristic of the informal, hand-engraved style associated with provincial Moroccan cast bronze coinage of the mid-nineteenth century. The flan edge is irregular, reflecting the cast manufacture of this issue. |
