| Obverse description | Arabic inscription in the field arranged in two lines, separated by a horizontal bar, bearing the AH date 1277. The legends are executed in relief in a characteristic Maghrebi calligraphic style. The flan is irregular in outline, consistent with cast production, and the surfaces display the rough texture typical of Moroccan falus coinage of this period. |
