Obverse description Central field dominated by an interlaced geometric ornamental motif, characteristic of Moroccan Alaoui coinage of the early 19th century, rendered in low relief on a roughly cast flan. The design features a multi-pointed star or knotwork pattern enclosed within a plain circular border. No mint name or date appears on this type. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with surface texture typical of cast bronze production.
