Andorra granted women the right to vote in 1970 — remarkably late even by regional standards, though Portugal and Switzerland were still working through the same argument at roughly the same moment. This commemorative marks the fiftieth anniversary of that reform. Andorra's tiny electorate and co-princeship structure, shared between the French President and the Bishop of Urgell, made its franchise questions constitutionally unusual well into the late twentieth century.
