Beschrijving voorzijde The inner disc features a stylised depiction of Trenčín Castle rendered in an architectural line-art style, with the city name TRENČÍN inscribed across the castle structure. Flanking the castle are emblems of the arts and culture — a painter's palette with brush, a film camera, and theatre masks — referencing Trenčín's designation as European Capital of Culture. The legend EURÓPSKE HLAVNÉ MESTO KULTÚRY runs along the lower edge of the inner disc, while SLOVENSKO appears along the upper edge, with the two inscriptions separated by dots on each side. In the upper left field, the Kremnica Mint mark (letters MK between two dies) appears alongside the designer's initial K for Klára Fojtů, and the year of issue 2026 is positioned in the upper right field. The outer ring carries the twelve stars of the European Union flag.

Beschrijving keerzijde The standard reverse design for the 2-euro circulation coin, as adopted for all Eurozone issues from 2007 onward, depicts a geographical map of Western Europe spanning both the inner disc and the outer ring on the right side of the coin. The denomination 2 EURO is superimposed over the map, with the numeral '2' set in the open field representing the eastern Atlantic Ocean. Six vertical lines intersect the inner disc, visually connecting the upper and lower groups of six stars; the full complement of twelve stars of the European Union is arrayed on the right side of the outer ring, with six stars above and six below the map. The mint mark LL of the Paris Mint appears in the lower field of the inner disc.
