| Obverse description | The inner disc features a stylised depiction of Trenčín Castle rendered in an architectural line-art style, with the city name TRENČÍN inscribed across the castle structure. Flanking the castle are emblems of the arts and culture — a painter's palette with brush, a film camera, and theatre masks — referencing Trenčín's designation as European Capital of Culture.
