| Reverse description | The reverse presents a stylized map of the European continent rendered without internal national borders, conveying the unity of the eurozone member states. The bold numeral 2 appears to the left of the map, with the word EURO inscribed below it, indicating the face value. The designer's initials LL, for Luc Luycx, appear to the lower right of the map in the field. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European Union. |

The 2007 eurozone commemorative program marked the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, signed on March 25, 1957, which established the European Economic Community among six founding nations. Every participating member state issued an identical reverse design that year — an unusually coordinated release across more than a dozen mints simultaneously. Slovenia's participation carried particular weight: the country had adopted the euro only on January 1, 2007, making this one of the first Slovenian euro commemoratives struck in the same year the nation entered the currency union.
