N.A.F.S.E.P. was a French private collectors' association that issued fantasy tokens denominated in euros well before the single currency entered circulation in 1999. These pieces have no legal tender status and were never sanctioned by any monetary authority — they exist purely as speculative collectibles produced ahead of the euro's launch, a cottage industry that flourished briefly among French numismatic clubs in the mid-1990s.
