| Obverse description | The central field features a stylised triangular emblem composed of three undulating bands representing a simplified cartographic rendering of the Principality of Andorra, constituting the official governmental brand identity of the country. This abstract motif is rendered in the inner bimetallic disc. The legend 'ANDORRA EL PAÍS DELS PIRINEUS' arcs around the upper portion of the design, with the date '2017' positioned in the lower field. The outer ring carries the twelve stars of the European Union flag in relief. |

| Additional information |
Andorra's euro coinage only became possible after a formal Monetary Agreement with the European Union was signed in June 2011, finally giving the co-principality — governed jointly by the French Republic and the Bishop of Urgell — the legal right to issue its own euro coins. The first Andorran euros didn't enter circulation until 2014, making this 2017 issue part of still a very young national series.
