Ta' Ħaġrat is among the oldest of Malta's megalithic temple complexes, with construction dating to roughly 3600–3200 BC — predating the Egyptian pyramids by several centuries. This 2019 issue is the fourth in the Central Bank's ongoing series commemorating Malta's UNESCO-listed prehistoric temples, a program begun in 2016 with the Ġgantija complex. Each release targets collector markets heavily; circulation quantities are modest and hoarding is immediate upon release.
