背面描述 The reverse displays the standard common design for all 2 Euro circulation coins of the Eurozone, designed by Luc Luycx. A large numeral '2' occupies the left portion of the inner field, while a stylised map of the European Union is rendered to the right, with the inscription 'EURO' positioned below the map. The designer's initials 'LL' appear in the field near the map. Twelve five-pointed stars encircle the entire design within the outer ring, interrupted at the upper right by vertical security lines integrated into the ring.

附加信息

Slovakia's commemorative €2 issues have consistently highlighted domestic technological and industrial history, and this piece marks the steam-powered drainage pump developed by Jozef Karol Hell in the 1740s at the Banská Štiavnica silver mines. Hell's machine — built decades before Watt's improvements to the steam engine — was among the earliest mechanically sophisticated mine-drainage systems in Europe, and the Banská Štiavnica mining academy later became the first technical university of its kind on the continent.

The mines it served had been flooding badly enough to threaten closure entirely.
