| Obverse description | The brass centre depicts a detailed view of the Guaita fortress atop Monte Titano, San Marino's iconic castle, surrounded by rocky cliffs and dense forest rendered in fine relief. The date 2005 appears in the upper right field of the centre, with the engraver's initial 'G' visible to the lower left. The copper-nickel ring carries the multilingual trial legend 'PRUEBA * TRIAL * ESSAI * PROBE' along the upper arc, separated by miniature castle motifs, and the issuer's name 'REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO' along the lower arc. |
