| Beschrijving voorzijde | The central field of the bimetallic coin depicts two clasped hands in a symbolic gesture of care and solidarity — the smooth hand of a young person grasping the aged, wrinkled hand of an elderly individual — with a stethoscope positioned below them. Surrounding the hands, several stylised renderings of the SARS-CoV-2 virus particle are scattered across the field, referencing the nation's public health response during the pandemic. The inner disc bears the legend CUIDEM LA NOSTRA GENT GRAN (meaning 'We take care of our old people' in Catalan) along with the issuer name ANDORRA and the date 2021. The outer copper-nickel ring is adorned with the twelve stars of the European Union flag, a standard feature of the euro coinage series. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse follows the standard common design for euro coinage of this denomination, featuring a geographic representation of the European continent rendered without national borders, evoking the unity of the European Union. The face value 2 EURO is inscribed to the left of the map within the central disc. The mintmark LL appears to the right of the denomination. The outer ring displays the twelve stars of the European Union arranged in a circle, consistent with all euro-series reverse designs. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Andorra issued this coin under its agreement with the European Union that permits the principality to mint euro-denominated coinage despite not being an EU member state. The subject — elderly people during the COVID-19 pandemic — reflects a WHO-led campaign that Andorra, with its unusually aged demographic profile and heavy dependence on cross-border tourism, had particular reason to amplify. The country recorded some of the highest per-capita infection rates in Europe during 2020.
