| 表面の説明 | The obverse features a stylised millstone motif serving as the official logo of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, rendered in bold graphic form within the coin's centre. The legend LATVIJAS PREZIDENTŪRA ES PADOMĒ is inscribed in a curved arc above the central device, while the web address EU2015.LV appears in the lower field beneath it. The design was executed by Latvian artist Jānis Strupulis and combines modern graphic design with traditional symbolic imagery.
