| 背面描述 | The reverse, designed by Luc Luycx, displays the common European Union design featuring a large numeral 2 occupying the left portion of the nickel-brass centre. To the right, a relief map of the European Union member states is depicted, extending across the centre field with the abbreviation EUR inscribed across the map. The outer copper-nickel ring carries the twelve stars of the European Union arranged around the full circumference. |

Grand Duke Henri's portrait first appeared on Luxembourg's 2 euro in 2004, but the map on the reverse changed in 2007 when Bulgaria and Romania joined the European Union, requiring all eurozone member states to update their common-side dies. Luxembourg was among the issuers that transitioned at that point, producing this second-map variant continuously alongside the ongoing reign — an unusually long uninterrupted run for a single eurozone type.
