Aanvullende informatie

Latvia issued this coin to mark the centenary of its central bank's financial literacy program — one of the oldest such public education initiatives in the Baltic region. The Bank of Latvia has run continuous public economic education efforts since the early post-independence period, a priority driven in part by the economic turbulence Latvians experienced through the Soviet collapse and the 2008 banking crisis, when several domestic banks failed spectacularly.
