| Beschrijving voorzijde | The inner core features a stylized tree in central relief, serving as a symbolic representation of financial literacy and the accumulation of financial knowledge. The date of issue '2022' appears in the lower portion of the inner core, split across the tree's base, with the country name 'LATVIJA' inscribed beneath it in the exergue. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European Union flag arranged in a continuous circle, rendered in the standard euro coinage style. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Latvia issued this coin to mark the centenary of its central bank's financial literacy program — one of the oldest such public education initiatives in the Baltic region. The Bank of Latvia has run continuous public economic education efforts since the early post-independence period, a priority driven in part by the economic turbulence Latvians experienced through the Soviet collapse and the 2008 banking crisis, when several domestic banks failed spectacularly.
