The name of the issuing country ‘ÉIRE’ is inserted above the logo. The year ‘1973’ is referenced to recognise the year Ireland joined the EU as well as ‘2023’ to mark the coin issue year. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag. |
