| Reverse description | The standard Austrian reverse for the 2 euro denomination depicts a geographic map of Europe spanning both the inner disc and the outer ring on the right side of the coin. The denomination '2 EURO' is inscribed across the map, with the large numeral '2' positioned in the open field representing the eastern Atlantic Ocean. Twelve stars of the European Union flag are arranged along the right portion of the outer ring, divided into two groups of six above and below the map. Six vertical relief stripes traverse the inner core, visually linking the upper and lower star groupings. The mint mark 'LL' appears in the field. |
