| Obverse description | The inner disc depicts Schwerin Castle, the landmark seat of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state parliament, rendered in fine relief against a plain field. The mintmark (A, D, F, G, or J), denoting one of the five German federal mints, appears above the castle, while the engraver's initials 'HH' are positioned below. The outer ring bears the legend 'BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND' along the upper arc, the year of issue '2007' to the left, and the twelve stars of the European Union encircling the design. The state name 'MECKLENBURG-VORPOMMERN' is inscribed across the lower portion of the inner disc. |
