| 正面描述 | The ruins of the Château des Baux-de-Provence are depicted in the inner core, rendered in fine relief against an open field, with a radiant sun rising above the castle remains. The heraldic arms of Monaco appear in the upper portion of the design, flanking the castle motif. The legend MONACO and the date 2025 are inscribed along the upper periphery, with the commemorative inscription MARQUISAT DES BAUX completing the design along the lower border. |

The Marquisate of Baux was one of the most turbulent lordships in medieval Provence — the Baux family spent centuries in near-constant conflict with the Counts of Provence before the line died out in 1426, at which point the territory passed through Angevin hands before eventually falling under Grimaldi influence. Monaco's commemorative euro program has consistently drawn on this layered feudal history, issuing coins that reference jurisdictions most collectors need to look up.
