Reverse description The reverse displays the first-type European Union map design, common to all eurozone 2 euro circulation coins issued prior to 2007. A stylised relief map of the fifteen member states of the European Union is depicted to the left of centre, with the face value '2 EURO' inscribed to the right. The designer's initials 'LL' for Luc Luycx appear to the lower right of the map. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European Union in continuous arrangement.
