| Beschrijving voorzijde | The central field features twelve stylised human figures arranged in a circular formation, morphing from the twelve stars of the European Union flag into embracing forms symbolising unity and solidarity among European peoples. The design, executed by Georgios Stamatopoulos, evokes the ideals of a shared European future through fluid, modern artistic styling. A legend in the upper right arc reads 'ESPAÑA' with the commemorative date range '1985–2015' in semi-circular form. The engraver's initials 'ΓΣ' and the mint mark 'M' appear in the lower right field. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European Union in relief. |
