| 背面描述 | The reverse displays the standard common design for the 2 Euro denomination, designed by Luc Luycx. A stylised relief map of the European continent is depicted extending beyond the inner disc into the outer ring, rendered without national borders to symbolise European unity. The denomination 2 EURO is inscribed to the left of the map in bold numerals and lettering. The designer's initials LL appear in small characters within the field. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European Union. |

Lithuania joined the eurozone on 1 January 2015, making it the last of the three Baltic states to adopt the common currency — Estonia had converted in 2011, Latvia in 2014. The Lithuanian Mint, which had been producing the litas since 1993, pivoted immediately to euro production, with these circulation strikes entering pockets and tills on the first day of the new year.
The litas itself had been pegged to the euro at a fixed rate of 3.4528 since 2002, so the switchover carried no monetary shock — it was largely administrative.
