| 背面描述 | The reverse, engraved by Luc Luycx, displays the standard European 2 Euro reverse design. A large numeral 2 occupies the left portion of the inner disc, while a stylised relief map of Europe, excluding national borders but showing coastlines and islands, fills the right-hand field. The denomination legend EURO is inscribed across the map. Six stars from the EU ring are shown in relief in the upper right of the inner disc, with a further six stars in the lower right, integrated into the transition between inner and outer rings. The outer copper-nickel ring bears the remaining stars of the twelve-star EU motif. |

Issued to mark the tenth anniversary of euro banknotes and coins entering circulation on 1 January 2002, this piece was struck as a commemorative circulating issue — one of dozens released by eurozone member states that year under a shared theme authorized by the European Council. Austria's contribution was minted at the Münze Österreich in Vienna, which had spent the years before 2002 producing the schilling right up to the deadline, then retooling entirely for euro production within weeks.
